From the walls of his bedroom, driven by passion, Spinz has since come out to bring pleasure to masses of Kuala Lumpur and Gaborone with his soul stirring and body provoking beats. Spinz discovered his love for music at the age of 10 with childhood friends and collected music from the likes of U.M.M, Cece Peniston, BlackBox, Crystal Waters, C+ C Music Factory and many others under the moniker PitBull Boogie Productions playing afternoon house parties for their peers. The crew disbanded but the passion for dance music stayed with Spinz and eight years later a childhood dream was be realized when he moved from Botswana to Malaysia to pursue a degree in Mass Communications. Armed with only a few pieces of vinyl, he began practicing and perfecting his mixing and building up confidence on the decks. It was after a few stints at a few clubs around Kuala Lumpur that Spinz was unleashed to the public through a residency a small after party lounge called 'The Tube'. Soon after, word of his excellent music spread around the city turning 'The Tube' into a first choice for the after party crowd. He then moved on to form a partnership with one the citys most talented DJs (Joey G) in an events management company called Stealth Concepts which produced unforgettable events such as 'Lords of the Underground' and 'Ambience du Jour' working with the best djs in Malaysia. He also worked on an event called 'Harmony' with DJ Yansi (1945Music Factory) and DJ Hazriq(Obsession Events) which feature indonesia's godfather of house, DJ Romy. Having worked his way through the circuit in Kuala Lumpur, DJ Spinz gained the love and respect of Kuala Lumpurs elite DJs. He hooked up with world class producer Haze (responsible for the dance anthems 'Changes' & 'Freak') in October 2003 to lend his writing and emceeing skills to form an experimental hip hop group called HAZE UNIVERSITY. In November 2004 he was chosen as one of the judges for the Vestax Extravaganza DJ Competition which saw the finalist travelling to Japan to compete against contestants from all over the world. In Botswana he has shared the decks with top djs such as DJ Fresh(Big Dawg Productions), DJ Christos (Katsaisis Music, S.A), DJ Claude (Soulcandi, S.A), Mbuso (Phezulu Records) and Fistaz Mixwell to name a few.
